BEAD sensor device with built-in motion, temperature, pressure and humidity sensors to analyze the daily use cycle, energy consumption, user behaviour and occupancy changes in buildings.
INTRODUCTION
BEAD is a groundbreaking sensor device designed to seamlessly integrate into buildings, offering comprehensive insights into energy consumption, user behavior, and occupancy patterns through its array of motion, temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors. By analyzing daily usage cycles, BEAD enhances building automation systems, enabling real-time operation adjustments for commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
DESCRIPTION
The Iomico team was tasked with designing the gateway case and its bracket, ensuring seamless integration into various building environments.
SOLUTION
To meet the unique requirements of the BEAD sensor device, the following solutions were implemented:
Industrial Design: Iomico crafted the gateway case and its bracket with textured inserts reminiscent of plaster, blending seamlessly with the building's aesthetics.
Logo Backlight: A convex logo with integrated backlighting was added to the front surface, serving as a visual indicator for device status.
Mounting Bracket Innovation: The team developed a slider-based mounting bracket design, ensuring stable fixation and enabling swift installation and removal of the device as needed.
Compliance with IP65 Standard: The entire design was executed in adherence to the IP65 standard, ensuring durability and protection against dust and water ingress.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Industrial Design:
Conceptualization and creation of textured inserts to complement building aesthetics.
Integration of logo backlight for visual indication.
Development of slider-based mounting brackets for stability and ease of installation.
Technical Support:
